Catch up on the summer

O.K. so...
what have I been up to this summer?

Well it began with getting off in May which for the most part I sat around, played music, painted, caught up with friends, worked on the weekends & gave out my resume to a bunch of places. Karl & I also began to go out and I had a really fun birthday party at Conestoga Lake.

June: I took care of Kurt during the week & worked at Jumbo on the weekends.

Lesson: do not give babies sugar! You know how in gr. 9 during the drugs lesson they said that sugar is a drug? It is to them...

July: About 3 days after I had finished taking care of Kurt Princess Cafe gave me a call asking me if I was still interested in a job. I said yes and they gave me one :) Almost every day of July I was working there.

Lesson: Don't ask for too much time off within the first month of working somewhere. They won't like it...

This is Donavyn. He is pretty much the best person I have ever worked with (besides a certain few). He was completely open & we talked about so many things & could make eachother laugh like nothing else. It was great.

August: Was spent mostly outside. I was at my cottage for 2 weeks, which was full of kayaking, canoing, swimming & hiking the Bruce trail.

Lesson: Teach the person you're canoeing with how to canoe before going on a long trip. And wear bug rub!

The Decemberists were playing in Toronto so that was pretty much the concert of the summer. I also got together with a bunch of family & am planning on going on a road trip to Thunder Bay next week to see almost the rest of them.

This is me & my cousin Sean at the concert. He just came back from South Africa & we might be planning on going on a trip there next summer to climb a mountain. We'll see...

During July & August I've been trying to redecorate my room which has been very unsuccessful (stalling as we speak). The whole summer has been full of getting together with friends during random events. Eg. Relay for Life (so much fun!), Wedding, Iceblocking, Phils, The Decemberists, picnics, random themed parties/hanging out with Karl's friends and so on.

Overall it's been a very well spent summer & I'm very much looking forward to the rest of it!

Woah! This exists!

Wow! I completely forgot that this existed - it's always discovering something about yourself & things in general too. So today was my first camp rejection ever! It followed my first personal rejection ever too. It appears I am on a role for rejections, I'm also planning on handing out my reseumes soon to all of the Nursing homes/long term care facilities in the area, which I am sure will bring about a number of other fun rejections.
I should probably come up with some sort of game for this! So I'll compare how many resumes I hand out, to how many interviews I am able to have, and then that to how many job offers I recieve. That should be fun, or depressing, we'll find out.
Even though I was rejected from camp I think I might still learn how to sketch. Naryan showed me a few techniques and I think some of it turned out alright. I'm also hoping to find some film making software because I just found some old footage for some 'planning-to-become-movies' that never quite got there...
Other things I am planning to do:

• find a spring & summer job
• plan some adventures
• start to work out again
• repair my bike
• study for geography
• catch up on readings for psych
• create a presentation for music
• go see a lot of great concerts
• fix things

Well I am going to go out and do some of those things so... I'll see you in a couple of years I guess, whenever I discover you again :)

Looking Forward for March Break

So today is the first day of March Break & my only plan has been canceled. The rest of the week I will be handing out resumes, teaching myself how to play cello and researching for summatives. Hopefully something else will pop up. OH Plan Jellyfish will be taking form sometime this week - although I lost the video camera to Steve who just headed off to England, so I think that plan might be canceled too. Ah well I'm sure the week will start to look brighter soon - well Andrew's calling me tonight so that will be nice to hear from him again (even though he was supposed to come down & I would see him in person for the entire week - the phone will have to do for now)
at least it's a week off of school (which i am actually enjoying now). It will just be me & scratchy the entire week :)
